What is self-storage?

Self storage allows you to rent storage space where you can keep goods and belongings in a specialized facility.  It's a do it yourself storage option solution to cluttered personal and business lives.  Rather than having to rely upon removal companies and large storage organizations, with limited access, no flexibility, long-term contracts and high charges, 495 Self Storage offers you short and long term personal and business storage solutions that you can basically control yourself. 

What isn't self-storage?

Self storage isn't living space.  As nice as you'll find our storage units at 495 Self Storage, you can't live in them.  Sorry.

What is 495 Self Storage?

495 Self Storage is a brand new 2006 built self-contained and fully enclosed specialized storage facility operated by 495 Self Storage, L.L.C. conveniently located in Crystal River Florida to serve Citrus County residents and businesses.  Our strong powerbilt steel buildings are wind loaded to 140 mph - that's stronger than current building codes!

What size units are for rent?

495 Self Storage has seven buildings with over 73,000 square feet of storage space.  Whether you need to store boxes, furniture, business inventory, boats, cars, or RVs, 495 Self Storage gives you the room you need for your belongings and offers a convenient storage solution for your home or business storage needs:

• 10 x 20 - our not so mini units offer more than enough space for you to clear your home's closets or garage of clutter and can serve as a mini-office warehouse to archive business records and inventory.
• 10 x 25
• 15 x 30
• 15 x 40
• 15 x 45 - our huge boat and RV motor home sized units come with 13.8' height clearance!

What items are not allowed to be stored?

You cannot store any hazardous, toxic, or illegal items. Also, no food or perishable items can be stored in our spaces.  Examples of items that cannot be stored are: ammunitions, gasoline, paint, paint thinner, propane, food, produce, plants, fireworks, etc.  If you are not sure if a particular item can be placed in storage, please ask us.

Do your provide free pest control?

Yes, we have professional pest control however, depending upon what you are storing, you may wish to place your own moisture absorbers, deodorizers or pest bait in your unit.

Do I need insurance?

We strongly recommend it for all customers.  For those with existing homeowner's or renter's insurance policies, check with your insurance agent to see if your policy provides coverage for your belongings while they are in storage.  It might but don't assume it automatically does - you may need a rider or other endorsement.  495 Self Storage does not cover your items for loss or damage while in storage.
